Team India achieved the mammoth total of 350 runs at the loss of four wickets against Australia. Excellent run chase and once again the top three batsmen set it up for the Indians. Dhawan started well, he was once again lucky tonight, dropped twice on 19 and 56, as he scored his 4th ODI hundred. He was well supported by Rohit Sharma as the pair added 178 runs for the 1st wicket. Rohit missed out on his ton, dismissed by a rank half-tracker from Finch. The stage was set for Virat Kohli. He continued with the form he showed in Jaipur as the target came down with every over, Dhawan was dismissed shortly after his hundred and India suffered a minor hiccup when the two out of form batsmen, Yuvraj Singh and Raina were dismissed in a Johnson over. If India looked shaky at that stage, they also had the calmness of MS Dhoni and the sublime form of Virat Kohli out in the middle, the pair battled the tough situation before finishing it off in a hurry. Both teams now move to Bangalore for the decider in what has been a cracking series.

Australia have posted a mammoth total of 350 runs at the loss of six wickets against India. Another pitch where the bowlers were like lambs ready for slaughter, at least at the end of the Australian innings. India brought in three spinners, and the third one went for 78 without taking a wicket. Australia started slowly and lost both their openers with just 45 runs on the board. With the bowlers asserting themselves, it finally looked like a pitch where they would have a say in the things. Not so for long, Watson was reprieved after he was caught off a no-ball on 25, he then opened up and along with George Bailey took each and every bowler to the cleaners. He scored his 9th ODI ton, Bailey was even more impressive as he top-scored with a career best 156. Australia once again have posted a big score, nothing much to say about the Indian bowling, although to their credit, they finished the 50 overs well before the scheduled time.
STAT: George Bailey's 156 is the 3rd HIGHEST SCORE by any captain against India. Only Sanath Jayasuriya (189 at Sharjah) and Andrew Strauss (158 at Bangalore) have got bigger knocks.
