Jhansi: Days after addressing a huge rally in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur district, the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is all set to arrive in the Bundelkhand region to reach out to the people here on Friday.

According to a report, the main opposition party, BJP, is expecting around two lakh people to attend Modi's Jhansi rally.

In an order to bring more crowd in Jhansi, the party is reportedly ferrying people from neighbouring Uttar Pradesh and the poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, where assembly elections will held on November 25.

Vijendra Singh Sisodia, the BJP spokesperson from Madhya Pradesh, said that Modi's message in Jhansi will have a bearing on assembly elections in MP.

Babu Ram Nishad, BJP's Bundelkhand region president said, "There are no major industries or educational institutions in Bundelkhand, which can cater crowd to Jhansi rally. Majority of the population here are farmers."

The low population density in Jhansi is said to be the main reason behind BJP's move to ferry audience from neighbouring MP and UP.

The BJP has only three MLAs from Bundelkhand region- Uma Bharti from Charkhari, Ravi Sharma from Jhansi and Sahdvi Niranjan Jyoti from Hamirpur.

The party has worked overtime to accord a warm and stupendous welcome to Modi, who is scheduled to address a rally at Government Inter College ground here.
