6.8 magnitude quake off western Mexico: USGS
Washington: US seismologists measured a 6.8 magnitude earthquake off the western coast of Mexico today, with no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
It hit some 74 kilometres (46 miles) southwest of Etchoropo, Mexico. US officials from the Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said that the quake did not create a risk of dangerous tidal waves.
